Great Hotel, super rooms, excellent breakfasts and very good dinners. Having stayed in a few other hotels in Obergurgl this is our favourite. Excellent spa, hygiene superb as is the whole hotel. Very convenient for ski shop, lifts and buses to Sölden.

„Gorgeous hotel, hugely hospitable”
Just had a 2 night ski break with friends at the Haus Gurgl. Absolutely lovely traditional Austrian hotel, we had the pent house suite which was gorgeous, very spacious and clean. Staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Big shout to the lovely receptionist/waitress with blonde hair Kata, she really went that extra mile to help with our stay. Food lovely, drinks great and well priced and pretty much ski in ski out (right next to piste). Love Obergurgl as a town and ski area.

„Fantastic Ski Hotel”
Stayed here the first week of March as a family. Absolutely lovely hotel with such friendly staff, that make you feel so welcome. Great drinks, great food, great service.
Rooms lovely and spacious and always clean. Spa area really tranquil and relaxing. Fantastic location for kids ski school. My daughter loved 3pm cake time 🙂
Thank you for making my daughters first time skiing such a memorable one and can not wait to come back.

„Excellent Hotel, great location with wonderful staff!”
Stayed at this hotel in January 2020 with my family. The Hotel exceeded all our expectations, it is contemporary and tastefully furnished with a beautiful Spa. The bedrooms are large and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space and modern TV with English channels. Robes and slippers are supplied for the Spa and I can recommend a massage mid week for sore legs… it was worth it! All the staff were welcoming and friendly as soon as we arrived. The Hotel is spotlessly clean, with a fabulous boot room with individual lockers for every room boot warmers – first time I actually felt comfortable before skiing!! Breakfast was exceptional with everything you could possibly eat, from Omelettes, pancakes, fresh fruit, cereal, smoked salmon, cold meats, cheeses, eggs, bacon, sausages and pastries. There was cake at 4pm if you could manage it and a 4 course dinner with choice of mains. I would highly recommend this hotel for location to the slopes and the fact the ski hire shop is below it. Made our skiing holiday so stress free and enjoyable. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

„1 Week ski Holiday”
Just spent a week at Haus Gurgl, excellent accommodation, rooms are very spacious, clean, tidy and modern. The bathroom is very modern and spacious, good powerful shower and a big bath. Our room had a balcony facing the slopes with a large balcony to sit out and enjoy the views.
The spa facilities were exceptional, spotless and not over crowded, remember Europeans use these naked so no need to pack your swim suits… but don’t be put off, you can use your towels!
The breakfast had a good selection and plenty to choose from, the bread is amazing and fresh. You choose your evening meal at breakfast which has two options plus a vegetarian.
The food at both breakfast and evening meal was to a high standard. Good service from the staff and owners very accommodating.
Location is ideal with free bus to Hochgurgl / Solden.
Ski locker rooms have heated lockers, 5 minute walk to centre of Obergurgl. easy access to the ski hire shop which is directly in from tof the hotel.
Great place, would definitely recommend.

„Couple ski holiday”
Just returned from an amazing week in Obergurgl & Haus Gurgl. Can’t recommend this hotel enough. The attention to detail that the owners have put into the hotel is outstanding.
The rooms are decorated to a high standard and have ample storage which is always needed on a ski holiday. The heated ski lockers are an added bonus and with a button lift behind the hotel & ski bus stop directly outside you don’t have to walk far with ski equipment to get on the slopes in the morning.
Food and service by all staff was at a high level.
Thank you for making our holiday so memorable, we will definitely be back next season!

„Family and Friends Ski Trip”
Clean, well designed room. Plenty of storage needed when skiing. Food surprisingly good quality. Kids menu varied. Staff and owners very friendly and accommodating. We had late flight home and were able to use spa to shower and change. Ideal location for dropping off for ski school. Only thing would say is lounge/bar area is a bit too small for size of hotel.

„Excellent ski hotel”
Great 4* hotel. Excellent service, lively bar, high standard of food at both dinner and breakfast, very accommodating staff, good ski/ boot room and spa/sauna (naked but that should not be a surprise to anybody who has visited Austria or Germany). Very handy for ski hire equipment but a bit out of the main village (10 – 15 min walk). Directly in front of nursery slope and free ski bus stops outside to go into the village and to Hochgurgl.

Leider können wir wegen “Corona” nicht anreisen beziehungsweise werden die Skigebiete geschlossen so dass es keinen Sinn machen würde. Die schnelle und unkomplizierte Kommunikation des Hotels, der kulante Umgang mit Stornofristen und das “Offenhalten aller sinnvollen Möglichkeiten” im Vorfeld war in jedem Moment perfekt. Ohne tatsächlich Gast gewesen zu sein war der Service Optimal!

„one of the best, especially the food!”
Stayed at the Haus Gurgle which was modern and clean. We have stayed at four, 4star hotels in Obergurgle and found this hotel to serve the best food, truly lovely meals in the evening. Lovely bedroom with modern shower room. Easy access to the boot room. The one thing I found lacking was not enough seating in the boot room, especially for the busy weeks. Ski bus stop just outside the hotel. All in all a lovely hotel, serving delicious food.

„Fabulous week”
Apart from being so lucky with the weather – blue skies and great snow – we had another great stay at Haus Gurgl. We “down graded” from a superior room to standard one but to be honest it was still a far better room than the ones we have had in other hotels on our ski hols – very spacious, lovely decor and great shower room. The food was great at breakfast and dinner and yet again great bar service from Tomas. Enjoyed the Spa and the ski/book room is an added bonus being at ground floor level and a short walk from the slopes. Don’t want to go on too much about this hotel for fear we will not get in again next year!!

„Wonderful hotel in the Ötztal Alps”
My wife and I stayed here for a week whilst celebrating a friend’s 60th birthday.
It’s not cheap – but it is wonderful.
Our room was super spacious and super comfortable. Spotlessly clean, of course – this is Austria after all – with great views over the slopes.
Breakfast was fabulous – a huge spread of quality products to cater for all tastes.
Super yummy for me was the fried eggs and bacon.
Evening dinner was excellent – salad bar to start then soup, main and dessert.
Patricia looked after us all week, she was super efficient and relentlessly smiley to keep us all well fed.
The bar is a comfortable place to end the skiing day with drinks and cake on offer and then start the evening with a drink. Tamaz is excellent behind the bar; warm and friendly and on the ball.
One criticism? The dessert one night should be Apple Strudel – this is Austria after all!

„Ski holiday first week of March 2019”
We are just back from a weeks skiing in Obergurgul/ Hochgurgl Austria. Firstly about our Hotel, the Haus Gurgl in Obergurgul. Very professionally run hotel, everything was well managed. The decor is modern, fresh and great attention to detail. Our room was perfect, very clean, very chic. The beds are very comfortable and room was warm. Great views from our balcony topped it off. Flat screen tv and an excellent selection of channels about 8 in English. The hotel has a nice bar area and the bar man Tamas was great. A great selection of food at breakfast including, cereals, cheese, meats, bacon, sausages and omelette / eggs cooked to order. A choice of coffees and teas are available. We stayed half board and the evening meals were fantastic always a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian. I strongly recommend the Haus Gurgl for anyone who is looking for a modern well run and comfortable hotel with excellent service and great food. The Obergurgul/ Hochgurgl area is a fantastic and connected ski area. Lots of ski huts offering really good food and hospitality and also very good apres Ski. Obergurgul would not be the liveliest of places at night but if that’s what you want then solden is 15 minutes down the road. Solden also offers excellent skiing and the 007 experience up at the ice Q is worth the visit.

„Perfect ski hotel”
We have just come back from a week’s stay here – first impressions were that it is absolutely spotless. So warm and welcoming with a fantastic introduction from Katja. Rooms perfectly sized with everything you could need, breakfast choices fantastic, and dinner even better – 4 courses! Fabulous, friendly service too. Location is great, especially if you are in Ski school as they meet right behind, with a rental shop right next door. A very quiet stay, no noise interuptions at all.
All in all, absolutely perfect. We’ll be back!

„Great Ski Holiday”
A good holiday starts with good accommodation and this hotel was no exception. Our larger room was spacious, with plenty of space for cloths and ski gear. Breakfast was superb and the salad bar at dinner was a highlight, as far as my salad addicted wife is concerned. Staff is friendly and helpful. An added touch was the SPA area, with a Finnish sauna which is one of the best, in my opinion. We will definitely strive to stay here again on future trips to Obergurgl.
